Dover, OH – Tuscarawas Valley Industry Sector Partnership (TVISP) is pleased to announce its newly awarded through The Ohio Manufacturers’ Association (OMA) Endorsed Industry Sector Partnership (ISP) Network as of April 19, 2024. This new endorsement recognizes the Tuscarawas Valley Industry Sector’s Partnership’s commitment to addressing the workforce development needs within Ohio’s manufacturing sector, aligning with the OMA’s strategic goals.

The OMA-Endorsed ISP Network has expanded to include 19 ISPs, now serving 75 of Ohio's 88 counties. Tuscarawas Valley Industry Sector Partnership collaborates with manufacturers across our service counties to address shared workforce development issues, creating a framework of alignment, collaboration, and accountability that strengthens the manufacturing sector statewide. In September 2023, a mission statement was established:

"The Tuscarawas Valley Industry Sector Partnership will develop connected systems to promote local manufacturing and equip the upcoming workforce. We will effectively align education and workforce needs to recruit, train, and retain talent to drive growth. “

 

By working in concert with the OMA and other ISPs, we contribute to a robust network that is recognized and replicated across the nation as a workforce development model.”

 

Steve Stokey, Executive Vice President of Allied Machine and Engineering and Champion of the partnership, highlighted the endorsement’s significance by stating, “We are honored and encouraged by the news of our endorsement by the Ohio Manufacturing Association. This recognition reaffirms the significance of our collaborative efforts in bridging the gap between industry and education, ensuring that our workforce is equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in today's manufacturing landscape. This endorsement by the OMA signifies the Tuscarawas Valley Industry Sector Partnership’s alignment with the OMA Workforce Roadmap and dedication to industry-led initiatives focused on manufacturing. The partnership is committed to continuing to contribute to the state’s manufacturing workforce needs through collaboration, strategic planning, and targeted action.
